July 20th Antique Estate Auction Sale

 Saturday July 20th beginning at 10:00am Preview Friday July 19th from 4:00-8:00pm and Sale day from 8:00-10:00am To be held at the Napanee Lions Club hall on Centre ST. in the town of Napanee, ON. The hall can reached from HWY 401 by taking HWY 41 interchange at Napanee proceeding south on HWY 41 (Centre ST.), through the town, over the Napanee river, through the next set of traffic lights and proceed approximately 100 yards on your left to the auction site. 

This is the third and final sale of the estate collection of the late Ken Murphy of the Stouffville, ON. area. The Murphy's collected mainly Quebec furniture, accessories and folk art over a period of several years. In addition, we will offer a collection of Beaver related items from an Ottawa area collector. Highlights of the Murphy collection will include several Quebec wall shelves both refinished and repainted surfaces in various lengths, several Quebec cupboards both refinished and in painted condition to include a Louis 13th style armoire in blue paint with raised panel sides, doors and a scalloped base, a small blue painted corner cupboard with double raised panels on the single door, a mid 19th Century small storage cupboard with a single slab door and cut out base, a single door cupboard with drawer with the original white painted surface over painted with green, a mid 19th Century dry sink from Quebec with original painted surface, other dry sinks, several Quebec painted blanket chests including a 'V' box, etc., several pail stands in both refinished and painted surfaces, a number of painted Quebec game boards, several refinished and painted dough boxes from both Ontario and Quebec, folk art to include song birds by Ivon Cote, several Quebec painted game boards, a collection of pepper mills, two 19th Century, cast iron, counter top coffee mills, wooden sap buckets, wall boxes, painted cutlery trays from both Ontario and Quebec, duck and goose decoys, carved and painted decorative birds, carved wooden wash board, butter bowls, butter prints, small painted wooden benches, 19th Century painted model of a horse stable from Quebec, a selection of decorated stone ware from both Ontario and Quebec, hooked mats, paintings, one and two drawer stands, etc. 

From the Ottawa Collector, a selection of items featuring the Canadian Beaver to include a Ltd. Edition cast iron six plate box stove with a beaver motif, made in Merrickville, ON. in the late 20th Century, a carved ashtray stand featuring a beaver on the base, several other ashtrays and decorative pieces of iron and brass featuring the beaver, brass sleigh bells, a hand bell, brass buttons, hooked mats, walking sticks, etc.

A 10% buyer's premium will be applied to the hammer price.
